The Ninety-Nine

Matthew 18:12-14

And He left the ninety-nine...
The first in this new minimal design poster series tells the story of the lost sheep. Using only dots in these designs the first poster in the pairing leaves the viewer with only a partial understanding of what they're seeing. It is only when they see the second that they understand the full context. These can be hung together or separately. You, much like the shepherd must journey to find the answer to the meaning of the first poster.
A Closer Look...
The posters can one hung together or separately. The modern design is meant to create a very simple design. Thought provoking and encouraging discussion, let your walls be covered with inspiring faith-based art.
The Parable of the Good Shepherd

The parable of the good shepherd in Matthew 18:12–14 is a brief but powerful story Jesus tells to illustrate God's care for each individual. Here's the passage:
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.”

Matthew 18:12–14 (NIV)
Print Details

These short run prints are hand made using a silkscreening process on X stock. I partnered with Smokestack Print house based in Hamilton, ON. They do incredible work and I have so appreciated their tireless attention to detail. Using X stock, we chose to use a 4 colour process and overlay white ink. These are not standard prints. They use acrylic ink and we run them in batches of 20 at a time.
